How asking prices are set

Asking price is based on retail price, adjusted for whether the figure is currently trading above or below retail, then rounded down to a clean $5 price tag — with a $5 floor so nothing on this list is ever priced below that. Retail and Market Avg below are sourced in USD; the Asking price is listed in CAD — so the real discount is even bigger than it looks.

Sealed
  • Market avg more than $10 above retailRetail + $10, rounded down to nearest $5
  • Market avg up to $10 above retailRetail, rounded down to nearest $5
  • Market avg at or below retailHalf of retail, rounded down to nearest $5
Open Box
  • Market avg more than $10 above retailRetail + $5, rounded down to nearest $5
  • Market avg up to $10 above retailRetail, rounded down to nearest $5
  • Market avg at or below retailHalf of retail, rounded down to nearest $5
Same tiers as Sealed, but a smaller top-tier bonus — an opened box carries less of a premium even when the character is in demand.
Loose
  • Market avg more than $10 above retailRetail + $5, rounded down to nearest $5
  • Market avg $10 or less above retailHalf of retail, rounded down to nearest $5
A simpler two-tier version — no middle case.

Reading the tags

Sealed — still in original packaging, unopened.
Open Box — packaging opened, figure/contents complete unless noted.
Loose — out of packaging.

Market Avg reflects recent secondary-market pricing for reference — it's not the price you'll pay, just context on value.
